OUR FACILITY

NOWS recently completed a move to a newly renovated facility which is well suited to meet the needs of its residents. Our new home has sufficient space to comfortably house 18-20 women and children at any one time. The average stay is four months, and it is expected that 60-100 individuals will be served annually. Residents contribute their time to the maintenance and upkeep of the house as well as preparation of communal meals.

    The facility includes:

  • Sleeping accommodations with dormitory rooms for single women

  • Separate bedrooms for mothers with two or more children

  • A children's resource room

  • Communal kitchen and separate dining room

  • Communal living room

  • An adult resource room with library, computers and musical instruments

  • An outside courtyard for children and adults
