The New Orleans Women’s Shelter’s NOWS enables women to transition out of homelessness into a stable and productive lifestyle.

To realize this mission we have two primary goals: 1) To operate a resource rich, safe, homelike environment which allows homeless women an opportunity to craft a new future for themselves and their children, and 2) To assist women in their transition to successful independent living by providing case management, counseling, employment guidance, and education services while stressing and supporting personal responsibility.
